You won’t believe how easy these nuggets are. Like, the easiest “recipe” ever. So simple, that there isn’t really a recipe, and you’re best off just measuring with your heart.

My initial reaction upon tasting these was “wow, they are like McDonalds chicken nuggets!”. Of course, it’s been many years since I actually ate them, so maybe I’m holding onto a childhood memory, but regardless, these are delicious little bites.

Ingredients:

  • 1 400g block extra-firm tofu
  • Soy sauce or tamari of choice, I use Braggs
  • Nutritional yeast

Directions:

  1. Wrap the tofu in a clean towel and place something heavy on top, like a cast iron pan. Leave for 20 minutes to remove excess water.
  2. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  3. Lightly drizzle soy sauce over the cubes. You want it flavourful, but not drenched.
  4. Lightly sprinkle nutritional yeast over the cubes. Toss to coat.
  5. Place cubes in your air fryer and cook at 375*F for 10-12 minutes.

Serve alongside fries and raw veggies, on salads, or over rice with steamed veggies.
